Today would normally be GamesRadar UK Podcast day. Cundy would be gently entering your ears right about now with his beautiful voice, introducing an hour or two’s worth of gaming chat, animal noises and a selection of instruments stolen from a small child, kicked off by that magnificent Sabrepulse intro music that makes everything right with the world.
But today it’s not.
No podcast today because said Cornishman (that’s racist, mate) is on holiday. He briefly considered allowing Hooters and I into the studio on our own, but decided an hour’s worth of arguing wouldn’t do us – or you – any good. And even if one of us did survive the fight, we’d be a man down for writing the website and, well, he’s the boss so he has to consider things like that.
So don’t worry, nothing sinister has happened and we WILL be back after Gamescom where I will be telling you all about my experiences at Europe’s answer to E3 in Cologne (I mean the German city, not that I’ll be smelling nice). I’ll also probably still be enthusing about my experience of GRID 2 (opens in new tab) which I’ve been dying to talk about ever since the press event. Stupid secrets. And Hooters will be ready to gush enthusiastically about the genius of David Cage. He loves doing that.
So, in the mean-time, grab a fick shake maaaaate, check out our GamesRadar UK Podcast compendium (opens in new tab) if you’ve missed any and get thinking about questions for our GamesRadar UK Question Box, which we will be opening up for your deposit nearer the time. And fear not, this is only a one-off blip and we are coming back… Unless Cundy decides it’s nicer on holiday than here, in which case we’ll do a Road Trip-style documentary of us trying to retrieve him.
