MONDAY 16 JANUARY
It’s a quiet day for DVD releases, but there are a couple. Doctor Who Christmas special “The Doctor, The Widow And The Wardrobe” hits shiny disc, whilst if gawping at models with fishy tails floats your boat you might enjoy 1962 curio The Mermaids Of Tiburon .
The ever-reliable Peter Cushing features in Amicus anthology horror Torture Garden – Horror Channel, 10am.
Vincent Price reads another instalment of The Price Of Fear – Radio Four Extra, 6pm (repeated at midnight).
The late Doctor Who producer Barry Letts begins reading his memoir Who And Me – Radio Four Extra, 6pm (repeated at 00.30am).
Torchwood: Children Of Earth continues a repeat run, with part two – Watch, 9pm.

TUESDAY 17 JANUARY
The Bond In Motion exhibition kicks off today at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu (that’s in the New Forest between Bournemouth and Southampton ). On display: 50 Bond vehicles, including the Lotus Esprit S1 from The Spy Who Loved Me and the Aston Martin DBS from Quantum Of Solace . The exhibition runs until December.

There’s a double-bill of documentary goodness on Sky Arts 1 from 6.55pm. First up, The Man Who Drew Bug-Eyed Monsters profiles Reynold Brown, who created the posters for films like Attack Of The 50-Foot Woman and Creature From The Black Lagoon. That’s followed at 8pm by With Great Power: The Stan Lee Story .
Disney flick Flight Of The Navigator is on Syfy again at 9pm.
Death comes to the ball in Roger Corman Poe adaptation The Masque Of The Red Death – Horror Channel, 10.55pm.
Linda Blair spins her head around one more time in The Exorcist – ITV4, 00.25am.
Alex Proyas’s surreal and atmospheric Dark City is on TCM at 1.00am.
WEDNESDAY 18 JANUARY

It’s a smashing day for book lovers, with an avalanche of SF and fantasy titles. There’s an ‘80s fantasy clash this afternoon, with Ladyhawke on Channel 4 from 2.05pm, and Dragonslayer on Channel 5 from 3.50pm.
