Yep, as if fairy tales in general weren’t already raking in the viewers on US TV at the moment ( Grimm and Once Upon A Time ) now small screen Hollywood is narrowing its sights down to one particular fairy tale.
According to TVLine , ABC’s Beauty And The Beast is rooted in fairy tale lore, as opposed to The CW show, which is a modern update based on the old show from the ’80s.
Penned and executive-produced by Jon Steinberg ( Human Target , Jericho ), ABC’s Beast promises “a fantastical reimagining of the classic fairy tale, set in a mythical, dangerous world wherein a beautiful and tough Princess discovers an unlikely connection with a mysterious beast.”
