2013 Will Be Huge For Doctor Who, Says Moffat

The 50th anniversary of the show will be massive, promises showrunner

Steven Moffat has told TVLine (opens in new tab) that 2013 – the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who – will be an “amazing” year for the show.

“I’ve got various plans, but all I can say emphatically is it will be huge,” says Moffat. “It won’t be just one thing…. We’ll be doing lots of stuff. The plans are quite extensive, and changing all the time. Oh my God, we will hit that year very, very hard indeed.”

He adds that the BBC bigwigs “are fully committed” to his grand vision, and, “There’s lot of decisions we’re making that are about making all that possible. It’ll be amazing.”

But he’s keeping mum about any potential multi-Doctor stories: “Possibly…. It’s so far in the future, it’s only a set of notions.” he replies.
